Yeah I think I remember when the second season of the 2006 Higurashi started, it showed a future where Rena actually won the fight against Keiichi on the roof and she was overcome with the syndrome believing that aliens were to blame. She was a grown woman and was being interviewed/interrogated by the police as a survivor of the villages collapse.

I have a bad feeling that letting Rena saw who the culprit is going to affect everything. There is a reason why Rena says 'odd' things with Keiichi about 'miracles' and being 'happy' again. I have a feeling she and Keiichi going to be wild cards.

I did not fine what Satoko did enjoyable, sorry but this episode isn't doing it for me. The Rika dance my goodness, they replayed that so much in eps that I thought they'll stop showing it after the amount of complaints about it but i guess not. Keiichi survived this fragment if my memory is good but how did he survived with that much trauma to his head? He cared so much about Satoko and he got used as a toy. I'm 100% sure now that Satoko don't see any of them as friends anymore and just 'pawns' that she can use and dispose easily. All of this just because of not standing your ground and telling your bestfriend you aren't going to the school she is going to. Like she could had let Rika move on and do what she wants and her the same. They can still be bestfriends and go to different schools. I was a long time fan of Higurashi from the time I was a little kid and right now I just want Sotsu to be over with.

maybe there is actually a reason they're showing the dance over and over again. It might have some plot importance in the coming episodes..who knows? I doubt it though. Probably just want to cut down on production costs.

Considering the next arc is named Kagura-something-arc, it might be that.

He survived when Reina stabbed him countlessly in the first fragment so it's understandable he survives this time. This wound is less fatal than that one, IMO.
